Got this for our dining area off our kitchen. It looks terrific & is very sturdy. Assembly was simple if you have someone to help, you just need to attach the legs & set it upright. We are very happy with it. It is just the right size for our space, and the drawers are very useful. the only complaint I have is with the drawers. we are keeping our silverware in one of them, but finding a silverware organizer the fits has been a bit of a challenge. the drawers are 1 7/8″ high, but most of the organizers we’ve looked at are 2″ high. There are organizers with lower profiles, but it took some digging to find one we liked & we think it will fit (it should be here later this week)

I was very nervous about buying a kitchen set online and I also read some of the unhappy reviews but I took a chance and I am very pleased I did. I purchased the dining room table, matching bench, and 4 matching chairs. All items came extremely well packed and my purchases were shipped first to Miami and then shipped again overseas because I live out of the US. There was no damage at all to any item upon arrival. I can not personally comment on putting the peices together since I had someone do this for me but he had no trouble doing so. The pieces themselves are well-made, nicely detailed, and heavy, and the set looks extremely handsome. Immediately after arrival, I had a dinner party with 6 not-very-careful guests and there were no scratches or dents to the table top from use. I did nothing special to cover the top except to use placemats. Two comments about the set: first, the set is really a lovely soft buttery-white color and not really off-white, antique-white, white-white, or even beige; second, the top is a textured wood-product and while it is attractive, I don’t think it really looks like natural wood. I will say this doesn’t detract from the overall appearance. I personally did not like the cushion material so I had the cushions recovered to match my decor — but I intended to do this before I purchased this set. Recovering was not expensive and it makes the set look like a custom suite. I will also be changing the drawer knobs to match my kitchen hardware. I am extremely happy I made this purchase and delighted with the products.

I fell in love with this Bolanburg Dining Set at a furniture store. The price structure was extremely inexpensive though Amazon!I purchased the table, bench and 2 chairs for the price of ONLY the table at the furniture store 😊I’ll be ordering 2 more chairs.The quality is great 👍I’ll be adding more pieces to my home.

Okay, so I bought this in 2019. We’ve had it for a few years now. I have small kids. It was beautiful when it arrived. Aside from a giant crack in it. My husband refused to return it due to the hassle (our fault- he’s stubborn) but we just dealt with it. But very shortly after we got it it started chipping. It’s a laminate coating on all the products for this line. It’s horrible. It looks absolutely terrible now. We bought 6 chairs that match & we won’t be able to even sell this thing it’s chipped so badly.If you plan to only look upon your table from a safe distance and never dine on it it’s pretty. If you actually need a functional table. DONT DO IT.I will never purchase anything from Ashley furniture again. So much money waisted on crap laminate covered particle board.

Very surprised of the quality of this table! Especially for $300 on sale! Probably the best Amazon purchase to date! The six drawers are roller sliders and felt lined. The finish is almost like an enamel coating so I’d imagine it’s very durable. We’ll see to how well it hold up over the years! VERY HEAVY! Definitely would have helped having a second person to assemble but it was straight forward. Just the legs and the top.

Reviews are correct about chipping. Mine arrived chipped and would flake all over my hand gently wiping it. I went to the hardware store bought a matching paint pen to fill in vs return because I love it and took years to find because I am so picky. I also bought a topcoat for it to seal out spilled water and more chipping that has def passed on spill test. I guess Ashley doesn’t put a topcoat protectant on this item based on reviews. I have kids and we use the kitchen table all day so I have hope after final touches it will be preserved now.

This table is beautiful! Despite the negative reviews on the table chipping, I still wanted it. I bought a table cloth to put over it when we eat and use it. Otherwise, it is uncovered. So far so good. I love it! No regrets.

Initially, I was going to give it three stars (for size, cost, and style, with storage). But the more I look at it, and more importantly, the more I use it, I’ve decided that I can’t give it more than one star, and this is why. If Fisher-Price made dining tables for adults, this would likely be it. The manufacturers went out of their way to give it a wood-like look, but it most definitely is NOT wood. Not that I thought I was buying solid wood, but this looks and feels like some form of plastic; believe and trust your eyes when you look at the photos. What makes it worse is that all of those striations that the table’s surface is completely covered in to make it LOOK like wood just give your children and husband grooves for them to play with/dig into with their fingernails. It certainly does not provide a flat surface for writing anything, and even worse, those striations form thousands of mini-culverts that collect every crumb and drop of liquid that ends up on your table, and these cannot be simply wiped clean as if the table’s surface was solid, because it isn’t. In addition to trying to scrub them out with a wash cloth or a sponge, you’re gonna need implements like a whisk broom and a Dobie Pad to try to work everything out of those grooves – and I don’t know yet how much scrubbing the table’s surface can withstand, but I’m guessing (based on a photo posted by another customer), not a lot. Buyer beware. I just wish I’d read a review like this before I’d made this purchase. We’ve already discarded all of the packing materials, or else I’d definitely be looking into returning this – not that my honest reason for returning it is even listed as an option.
