I’m 75 years old and have owned more vacuum cleaners than I care to think about. I purchased another brand cordless vacuum stick last month and really liked it until it died after just a few weeks… Researching for a replacement with better reliability, I found this wonderful Shark Vacuum Stick….My initial impression was that it’s a bit heavy and slightly clunky compared to the Samsung model I just returned, but after using this baby a few times I love it. It’s AWESOME! This Shark does a great job cleaning my dark brown bamboo floors and the area rugs in my 3000 square foot house without recharging. The Samsung had to recharge after about 1500 sq Ft.Emptying the large dirt bin isn’t an unpleasant experience, and after releasing the motor/canister from the stick I was impressed with how easy disassembly and reassembly went…At my age, dust on baseboards and chair rails, as well as some dirt in corners and other hard to reach areas has become the norm. My Roomba and the corded uprights just couldn’t get those hard to reach areas on the floors, and it’s just too hard on my knees and back to crawl around more than a few times each year. I found accessories on all upright cleaners too awkward and difficult to use…. but I was inspired by the Shark’s light weight and gave it a try… All I can say is WOW! Baseboards, corners and close to furniture and cabinets are now spotless! My house hasn’t been this clean in a long time… Best of all, I’m not exhausted from the task. LOVE my Shark cordless stick vacuum!!!Time will tell about long-term reliability and battery life. Some good news I found in my research… the replacement battery cost for the Shark is about half the cost of a Samsung battery.Next time this vacuum goes on sale I’ll be buying several as presents for friends and family! My advice is buy two or three of these…. One for yourself and one for your elderly parents/grandparents… they’ll love it and thank you for it!UPDATE**** Still going strong at about 4 months use. I ordered an extra battery, which is easily swapped out. Just push a button and the battery releases.I was given two Dyson V6 cordless vacuums by a neighbor who isn’t very mechanically inclined … The Dyson isn’t the latest model, but a comparison: After ordering aftermarket batteries, it was easy to remove a few screws and replace the originals. The Shark is quieter, easier to use, and definitely easier to swap a spare battery. The Dyson is a bit prettier, and may have slightly more suction, although it’s only a one speed suction. Both will get the job done. If you want to impress someone else, get a Dyson. If you want a better all around machine at a good price, get the Shark.

I have been a “vacuum connoisseur” since I was a teenager – my Mom kept a clean house and I inherited her enjoyment of a clean house. Vacuuming is my favorite house chore – it actually relaxes me, so I always enjoy having a great vacuum that is easy to use. Right now, we have four doggos – Husky/GSD/Malamute mix, Husky/GSD/Dingo mix, GSD/Cattledog mix, and a purebred Carolina Dog (American Dingo). As you can imagine – we have a LOT of fur around here. My dogs literally shed twice a year – six months in the spring and six months in the fall. 🙂 I vacuum the entire house at least once a day and sometimes twice. I’ve had several cordless vacs – two from Dyson, one from Bissell, and two from Shark. The Dysons were dismal at picking up fur, and the Bissell was worse. And don’t even get me started on the robot vacuums – we have had four (Roombas, Bobi, and Eufy) – completely ineffective and a waste of money.I got my first Shark Rocket Pet Pro vacuum in 2017, and I can’t say enough about it! I have vacuumed up tons of fur with it, and it has always had great suction, great power, and it’s easy to keep it clean. I just replace the filters on it every month or two, and that’s all the maintenance it needs. That poor vacuum died last week (through no fault of its own). I spent three days researching cordless vacuums, and kept coming back to the Shark Rocket Pet Pro. I bought a second to replace the first, and am still in love with this vacuum. Bonus: The new one that I bought has the upgraded handle with the hook for the motor, so it can stand on its own and be easily stored. The ONLY issue I have with this vacuum (and it’s not a huge problem): The self-cleaning brushroll is AMAZING! But – I have to stop once in a while and pull a ball of white Husky fur out of the floor attachment – the hole behind the brushroll that takes the debris up the long rod to the dustcup gets clogged (I tried to show a picture of it). When this gets blocked, the vacuum won’t pick anything up. Again, not a deal breaker, especially with the self-cleaning brushroll, but it is the one less-than-perfect aspect of this unit. And I’m probably the only one in the world with this issue, because I have my beautiful fur-factory doggos running around here. 🙂 Overall, I adore this cordless vac and will recommend it to everyone!

*SUMMARY: IF YOU HAVE LONG-HAIR DOGS ITS TRULY TANGLE FREE! WORKS WELL ON THICK RUGS BUT FOR FULL PRICE THE SUCTION IS TOO WEAK*Let me start by saying I have a husky who sheds A LOT. I have to sweep my house twice a day just to keep up with her hair shedding, if not it’s in piles around the edges of the house. Every vacuum that claims to be “tangle free” or “made for pets” are crap and hair gets tangled with every use. I was very skeptical this vacuum was actually tangle free (bc it does have bristles! Not just fins like the photos show) but to my surprise- NOT ONE HAIR has gotten tangled in the roller after weeks of use!! (See pictures)Got this vacuum for like 40% off during Black Friday deals. I think it was absolutely worth what I paid- but almost $300 full price is a bit much in my opinion bc it’s not that strong. Ive had much stronger for $150. But for what I paid, I’m very happy with the quality of the product, how lightweight it is, ease of use, battery life, & most importantly that it’s truly tangle free w/ pet hair. That alone makes it worth it for me.** Things to know:1. Truly is TANGLE FREE for pet hair (yay!!) only part that gets hairs stuck are the tiny wheels on the corners (see pic) but it doesn’t affect the functionality of the vacuum whatsoever.2. Its very lightweight- I am 9 months pregnant & have problems with my blood pressure going up w/ little activity & have to be careful. I can easily pick this up & vacuum my couch with it or my rugs w/ no problem.3. It’s LOUD – low setting isn’t too bad, but high setting needed for carpet/rugs is obnoxious & sounds like a leaf blower. For what I paid, doesn’t bother me.4. It’s very top heavy & cannot stand on its own – but that should be expected with any brand of vacuum that is this lightweight cordless style. It can lean against the couch or wall (see pic) just fine.5. Too weak with attachments- I wanted to use this to vacuum my car but the low setting or even high are too weak with the attachments & do a very poor job getting crumbs, dirt & pet hair out of thin vehicle carpet. It got the majority of dirt, but the pet hair & crumbs in the crevices couldn’t be sucked up because the suction is so weak. But when it comes to vacuuming crumbs & hair off my couch, it’s so lightweight I just pick up the vacuum and use it on the couch as if it’s the floor and the rollers get everything up no problem. Won’t be using the attachments much though.5. Actually does well with thick carpet/rugs – my sons nursery has a very thick shag rug (see pic) that’s almost 3” thick. The vacuum is not anywhere strong enough to pull itself forward on the carpet, but if lean it back a little and use just a little muscle it glides easily across the thick rug (Again I’m 9 mo preggo and I can do this no problem). The rollers get deep into the rug and get about every trace of dirt and hair.6. Rechargeable battery is nice & imo gives plenty of run time- I get about 40 minutes of use in my mostly hardwood home, during which I have it on high for almost half the time vacuuming thick rugs and my couch.

This vacuum has excellent power, picking up even more than our corded Shark vacuum. Yet, it is much quieter than our corded vacuum. Quite easy to empty. And we can vacuum continuously around the house with no cord to unplug/replug. The battery lasts long enough to vacuum a large family room and three bedrooms. I was pleased to find that, when the battery is drained, the vacuum just stops, rather than to gradually lose power and die out A spare battery, although not included, can be purchased, and we find it useful. Before purchasing the unit I asked a question about the energy stored (mAh) and got several puzzling answers. Now that I have the unit, I can answer my own question, which might be helpful to others. The mAh (milliAmpere hours) of a battery is a rating of how much energy is stored with a full charge. It is usually marked on any rechargeable battery because it indirectly determines how long a full charge will last. The battery included with the Shark IZ363HT is marked as 2350 mAh. This number is important if you want to buy a spare battery. You should look for one that is rated about the same mAh, if you want to get the same run time as the included battery. By the way, if you are thinking of boosting the run time with a battery that has a much higher mAh rating, you should probably make sure that you do not run the vacuum continuously longer than the time provided by the original battery. Other components of the vacuum may wear out sooner if the vacuum is not allowed to cool down at appropriate times. Dyson vacuums actually have a warning to this effect, but I did not find this warning on the Shark.

I have had this for a few months now, and I just love it. I did get it on a prime day deal so the value was even better, but still think its reasonably priced for what you get. I’ve never had a stick/cordless vacuum and its just a game changer for quick clean up, but i also use it in place of my normal vacuum for all my hard surface floors. It does fine on the carpet, but I couldn’t do the whole house on one charge so i use my normal vacuum for deep cleans still. Using this in between definitely cuts down on the need to do deep cleans more often. It does charge quickly and love that you remove the battery pack so its easier. The attachments are great as well. Its so light and more powerful than i was expecting. Its so easy to use on my stairs which is another reason i got it, as my normal vacuum is too bulky to do so. My traditional vacuum is a shark as well, i think this brand is just a good as more expensive ones out there. If you live in an apartment you could probably get away with just having one of these. The canister holds more dirt than expected. It also stores very neatly and compactly. Oh, and i was BEYOND impressed with the packaging, very environmentally friendly, there was ZERO plastic. I was so impressed with this. Overall, super, super happy with my purchase!

The best most powerful cordless vacuum I’ve owned yet!!! We have 2 large Rottweilers and this pills up the hair on ALL surfaces!! Very powerful and light weight!!!

Pro: Battery life is long enough to vac 14ft X 70ft (980 square feet) moble home. It takes up little space to store in a closet. I vacuum every few weeks and owed vac for 6 months. The inner filter looks brand new! The prep filters absorbs just about everything. I keep my dog trimmed. The vac picks up all trimmed hair. (Sorry I can’t evaluate long matted pet hair due to shedding in carpets and sofas.) The power burst feature is a smart idea. It will pick small debris that regular setting missses. You pull a trigger to increase and decrease suction as needed. Battery can be detached and charged separately from unit. You can purchase extra batteries and have them changed in advance of use. It comes with the normal frequently used attachments. You can purchase other attachments separately from shark. Lights do help in darker spaces. The canister is larger than most stick vacs, but I do have to empty during a single use. I didn’t buy this as a supplemental vac to an upright. I bought this instead of an upright.Con: The hardwood floor feature is useless. It doesn’t pick up hardly anything. Use the carpet setting on hardwood and you will be fine. Paying $50 more to get 10 mins of extra run time is stupid. Buy and extra battery for $63. The attachments and stick are D shapped. If you want more attachments, you are basically forced to buy from shark due to shape. There is less suction than a normal upright, but to be fair it is good enough.

I have 5 cats – 2 of them are older Maine Coons who have long hair and at the age where it sheds easily. I also have long hair. I got really tired of sweeping my downstairs twice a day from cat litter, etc. All but my bedroom downstairs has the “fake wood” flooring (no better way to describe it). In recent years, I’ve owned two Dyson Ball vacuums and neither have ever worked well and have needed frequent repairs. I’ve also owned a Shark Rocket vacuum and while it was easier to maneuver, the hose just below the floor attachment cracked and duct tape wouldn’t cut it anymore. So…. I bought this one on Black Friday this past November. I really didn’t care that one of the accessory attachments was “missing” – hardly use those anyway. Using this twice a day has made my upper arm chronically sore, but still easier than sweeping morning and night.Pros: it did what I wanted it to do and made my daily cleaning a lot easier, (other than the sore arm!). It sits nicely up close against a wall and easy to keep charged. It’s also true that hair does NOT get wrapped around the brushes! I got very tired of having to cut out the hair every time I used my other Shark Rocket vac.Cons: One of the same reasons I hated my Dyson vacs, getting the hair out of the canister requires using my hands to sweep or pull it out. All the “filters” in the world in bagless vacuums are useless when you end up attempting to empty the canister! Plus the cat litter forms a powder that leaves a residue in the canister. Also, hair wound around the tiny front wheels in the first couple of uses and is virtually impossible to get back off. I don’t even think they can turn anymore and it’s been less than 2 months since I started using this machine. The bigger back wheels also squeak now. While the vacuum has plenty of suction power to pick up litter, cat food crumbs, etc., it will only do so when vacuuming forwards. Pulling the vacuum backwards, causes these things to be spit back out.I have yet to take this machine upstairs where I have all carpet. It does fine in the one room downstairs, so I’m not sure how it would do running it longer upstairs (still use one of my Dysons up there). So, my review is incomplete. Like I said, it’s also only been 2 months since I purchased this. This is my first cordless vacuum and I love the cordless factor. It’s definitely kept my floors downstairs much cleaner than just sweeping (cut down on need to mop, which I hate) and my bedroom carpet has been much easier to keep under control, because it’s much easier to use than my previous vacuum cleaners. However, with all the issues already present (especially with the wheels), it’s questionable how long this thing will last. We’ll have to wait and see, I guess.

So I was a little disappointed in the power of this vacume considering how much I paid for it. I know these cordless types are for day to day use but I was hoping that since it was a “shark” and so expensive it would have more power. But I just used disposable fork to take it out. However that being said, it is a very easy set up, it is easy to maneuver, everything is simple, it takes up very little space, it swivels around very nicely you don’t even know your doing it. They don’t give you a lot of attachments so it’s less space you need for storage. I always get overwhelmed with all the different attachments and never end up using any. But this time since there were only 2 attachments I actually used one and it was very easy to put on and take off. It can also be used on hard surfaces. I decided to keep it because of the ease of use (which means I’m more likely to use it). Also it takes up very little space, which I need cause my place is not that big and I don’t have a lot of storage space for appliances. I got on prime day so the cost was a little less. I def wouldn’t purchase it at it’s full price. Just a reminder this is a day to day your not going to get a deep clean with this one.

I purchased this product on prime day this year and had been going back and forth on the shark vs spending money on a new dyson. Let me tell you, this vacuum DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! We have a Labrador retriever that sheds like crazy. I have a robot shark vacuum that I run daily to try to keep up but typically have to vacuum the rugs and carpets 2-3 times a week to get that deep clean. I ran my old Dyson over the carpet this morning then repeated it with my new shark pet power and was shocked how much dirt and hair I picked up just hours later! This vacuum is a must if you struggle with pet hair at home! I would absolutely recommend this product!
