PuroAir HEPA 14 2-pack of model 240We purchased these air purifiers to minimize food odors from cooking. We don’t have a vent over our stove that is vented to the outside so the odors accumulate in the house. We’re cooking at home a lot more now so this had become a daily problem for us. The odors would penetrate throughout our three bedroom home and even out to our garage. We started to dread cooking or not cook some of our favorite healthy foods because of the odors.We place the two air purifiers in or near the kitchen and run them on high during and after cooking smelly food. They quickly eliminate the food odors. We are thrilled with the results. We also intend to start using the purifiers throughout the day and night to remove allergy irritants throughout the house. That will be easy because the units are so small and light that they’re easy to move around the house. The small round black cylinders are not unattractive and they somewhat just blend into the background. (I do wish they were available in white, though.) The settings are located on top of the units to make turning on and off and changing settings easy. Even when we are running both units on high the noise from them is not distracting. The soft fan sound is actually soothing. We really aren’t aware of the sound when the purifiers are on a lower setting.I had researched air purifiers several times in the past for the purpose of cleaning irritants from the air but I always passed because there would be something about the size, performance, or price that didn’t meet our needs. These air purifiers are just perfect.

I am always very skeptical of purchasing electronic devices on Amazon due to false advertisements, fake positive reviews, or complete scams. However, I assure you this product is as perfect as it sounds!I have four cats, so my home has a lot of allergens from their fur, litter dust, and ammonia odors from the litter boxes. When I set up one of the air purifiers in the litter box area, the green light turned orange/yellow! In less than an hour, it went back to green. My house smelled SO much better! I used the other air purifier for the living room area as it is the largest room in my house, and I feel like I can breathe better!This product is excellent. Easy set up, efficient, and low noise level.

This is so easy to use! And it’s lightweight when I want to move it to another room. I like that it evaluates the air quality in the room. We put it in our bedroom next to the dog’s bed and I was surprised how quickly the dog smell disappeared. It is also very quiet. Very pleased. The filter is also easy to access

I was hoping this would help with my allergies, but I haven’t noticed any difference. I’m still happy with it, because when I change the filter, I could see that it pulled a lot of dust out of the air. It is very quiet when running. You can still hear it, of course, but it’s not an intrusive sound. No need to turn up the TV or anything. Our range hood was not working for a while. When cooking, the orange light would come on, to show that the air quality had changed. It did seem to help with the cooking smells also. I didn’t pay attention to exactly how long the filter lasted, but it was long enough that I didn’t mind when it was time to buy a refill. The design is sleek, and it doesn’t take up a lot of space.

We put these air purifiers in our hallway and our living room and they are quiet and put out quite a bit of air. The filters are easy to change and the company has a program where you can get filters delivered. It’s really good product.

This air purifier handles over four times the living space that my previous larger-in-size air purifier did. I operate this purifier at medium speed and it is much quieter than the previous one operated on low speed. The previous purifier used a flat F2 filter, which accumulated air debris primarily toward the bottom end of the filter where the air intake was – the face of the F2 filter at the top end would have nearly no debris on it. This air purifier uses a cylindrical filter which is fed air from all 360-degrees around it and the filter face captures the incoming air uniformly across its face. The design and construction of this unit is also more robust and not sloppy in fits like many other purifiers. I highly recommend this product as an engineer and as one with airborne allergies that previous air purifiers haven’t been able to help much with.

After reading the description of this item and it having so many positive reviews, I decided to order the PuroAir 240 air purifier. However, I should have listened to the negative reviews. I followed the instructions to open the unit and remove the packaging material surrounding the filter. Again following the instructions, I ensured the unit was placed at least 8″ from walls, furniture, etc; was not within 3 ft of any other electrical appliance; and was plugged into an outlet where nothing else was plugged in. When the unit came on, the yellow/orange light came on and within about 5 seconds, not minutes, the light went to green. Impossible that could be correct. I have 2 indoor only cats with plenty of pet hair and per dander. I left the unit in this location 2 days, running constantly, and the light never changed from green. I next decided to move the unit to a different area of the house to see if it would work. Again, followed instructions about distance set up and separate outlet. Same thing happened. Plugged in. Turned on. Yellow/orange light came on for only a few seconds and then turned green. After 12 days of nothing changing, I packed the unit up to return. It is now on its way back to Amazon. Like another reviewer, I could not find any reviews or product information about this unit other than on the PuroAir website and on Amazon. Every search for “which is the best air purifier” provides numerous websites and they all have different results based only on the brands they tested. Wish I could find information about which brand is really the best.Updated 07/07/24: I was contacted by the seller 06/18/24 willing to resolve the issue of having received a unit that did not operate properly by sending me a free replacement. I did not respond to this email. The seller followed up via a 2nd email 06/20/24 offering a free replacement or either upgrading to a 400. I did not respond to this email either as my thoughts were it could not be for real. I actually forgot about it. On 07/02/24, the seller followed up again via email wanting to confirm my shipping address so they could ship me my choice of units. I replied with a question, to which I received an immediate response. Finally believing this offer was for real, I sent the seller my shipping address. I received an email stating that once they verified my shipping address, a unit would be immediately shipped. I received the unit yesterday, 07/06/24. As soon as it arrived, I unpacked it; removed the packaging material surrounding the filter: set the unit up as instructed for distance and separate outlet; plugged it in; turned it on; and all seems ok thus far. I have only had this unit about 24 hours as of writing this, so I cannot attest as to performance, but I can say with 100% certainty, no one could ask for better customer service!

I originally bought this for my shed to keep the dust off of my stuff. But I ended up using it for my son‘s bedroom instead. He has a 10 x 10‘ bedroom and he has extremely stinky sour smelling sweat. Whenever he opened his bedroom door, the whole house would quickly fill with his odor. I couldn’t enter his room without gagging. Yes, he takes showers, but he still sweats really bad and completely soaks his bed with sweat. He has the purifier on the maximum level 24/7. It got rid of the stinky smell, but the filter only lasted two months. As you can see in the photo, this is how much dust it got out of his room in two months. The filter is very easy to switch out. And doesn’t make a mess like others I have tried. There are three speed settings on the air purifier. The low and medium are very quiet and you can hardly hear it. But the high is very loud. Overall I highly recommend this air purifier. It is well worth the money.
