We are older folks. I thought I ordered the battery driven machine but we received the corded version. As it was a gift I assembled it anyhow and boy are we glad. The vacuum Is light weight but powerful at the same time. It lights the floor when the room is darker and the cord is longer than other vacuums we have. when you finish just unscrew the very small dust catcher and toss it in a trash can (very easy) filter is washable and can be used over and over. Then they gave a stand for it that holds the cleaner and tools and the vacuum cleaner (ihis works but is not as sturdy as we would like). The vacuum cleaner breaks down so it is a powerful, handheld unit. I use it to clean the inside the car and for cat hair on the furniture.

I’ve used several stick vacuums in the past. My last one was an older wired Eureka that I bought about six years ago. It still works, but I could tell parts were starting to become loose, and it was time to get a replacement before the old one broke. My main issue with the old Eureka is its cord is too short. At 15 feet long it needed to be plugged/unplugged multiple times just to do the main floor. I decided I needed to get a cordless vacuum. After doing a lot of research I came to the conclusion that cordless vacuums either cost too much, or their batteries just don’t last. I decided to look at corded vacuums again. Being pleased with our old Eureka I decided to see what they had to offer. That’s when I found this vacuum. The Eureka Flash Lightweight Stick Vacuum pros/consPROSCord – 30 foot cord that I can plug into one outlet, and do my whole main floor. Of course each house is different, so your millage may vary. Either way, it has a lot of cord to give you a lot of freedom. Not having to worry about charging batteries, or worrying about the battery dying while I’m vacuuming is great. Full power all the time without battery worries is awesome! Yes you need to deal with the cord, but it really doesn’t get in the way that much, and in my opinion the cord is much less of a hassle than dealing with batteries.Suction – I have found the suction of this vacuum to be great. We’re talking about a stick vacuum here, so don’t expect the same power as a full upright vacuum. That being said, it does great on our hardwood floors, and it even does well on carpet. Two in One – I really like being able to easily disconnect the roller brush section and suck things up that hide in nooks and crannies while on the go. This has come in handy more than I thought it would.Swivel – I didn’t think I would care about the swivel feature of the roller brush section. I was wrong. The swivel feature is awesome! Not sure how I lived without it in the past. Great for getting in and around tight areas.Attachments – I have not used the attachments very much, but they seem like they should work very well when needed. My last vacuum did not have attachments, so I welcome the added versatility the attachments give this vacuum.Filter/Dust Bin – The dust bin seems to be large enough to hold everything from one round of vacuuming. I dump it every time I’m done, so its size works well for me. If you like to vacuum multiple times before dumping the dust bin you might find it isn’t big enough. That being said, we have two cats, so the dust bin might fill up faster for me than it does for you if you are furry pet free. The filter seems to work well, but it does have a small con I will list below.CONSLED lights – The LED lights are not very bright. Seems like they could have just left them off if they weren’t going to put bright ones on there. I could see where they might want to conserve power on a cordless vacuum, but there is no reason to conserve power on a corded vacuum. They should have either spent the extra $2 on parts and went with extra bright LED lights, or just leave them off. The LED lights weren’t a big deal to me anyway so I don’t care that they’re dim, but if you were buying this vacuum so you could vacuum in dark places without the lights on you might want to order a flashlight too.Filter – This is a minor thing, and one I knew about before ordering, so it isn’t a big deal to me. The filter is not a HEPA filter. It would have been nice if it was. I’m sure if it had a HEPA filter the suction would have been reduced, so I guess you need to decide which is more important to you. If you need a HEPA filter this isn’t your vacuum.CONCLUSIONAll in all I am very impressed with this vacuum. Great suction, long cord, not too heavy, no batteries to worry about, solid construction, and a great price!

The manual posted on Amazon is for a different model boasting a built in crevice tool that stores itself internally, which leads me to my primary complaint, there is nowhere on the unit to store the crevice tool. I bought this for my office site, the crevice tool may as well go straight into the trash as it will be mere minutes before getting lost. The unit in use does however perform very well – the filter is tiny so it gets blocked quickly and needs cleaning every time it’s used – but that’s really the point, isn’t it? It’s tiny and lightweight and has the capacity to do maybe one room at a time. It’s great at picking up dust and much easier than sweeping. Good suction for such a small unit and only takes up a little space.I do believe I’m going to put a small extension cord on it though, it’s too short to finish even a single room.

I bought this to use as a vacuum for my newly installed vinyl plank flooring, since my old Eureka had the bristle brush. I’ve always been happy with the Eureka products and this one is no exception. It is lightweight, doesn’t take up a lot of space in the closet, and has great suction and cleanup ability. The filters are washable, but with two dogs I ended up buying additional ones after using the original so much that they never looked fully clean. This picks up dust, dirt, and smaller things from the floor. Does not always pick up small/medium sized leaves or other items unless placed directly over them, but then it generally will even get those up. The dust bin can take a lot without needing to be dumped, but I do try and empty it after every use (again, it gets pretty dirty and full with two dogs and all that hair!). I do wish it had a longer cord because I find myself having to unplug it frequently, especially in my living room around the furniture. However, that’s really the only downside to this product for me, and it still gets the job done and I’m overall very happy with it.

I really substituted my compact vacuum that I bought in overstock which only works for tile but my husband bought this Eureka and I loved it, it works great for tile and carpet that they’re not very shaggy and hairy, great deal , perfect size and it’s not heavy at all and you can clean it out with non problem it’s kind of loud but a little bit less that I normal vacuum cleaner

I was looking for a simple, cheap vacuum so I could easily clean my stairs. I looked at similar options within this price range and went with this item based on reviews. I’m not gonna lie, when I opened the box I thought I was had for 30 bucks. The whole thing looked and felt like a toy. After assembling it and giving it a quick try I was happy with the results for the small price point. The following day I put it to the test and used it on my hardwood floors and carpeted stairs. When I tell you this thing sucks, it really sucks! Not enough to be dangerous like my canister vacuum but it really does get the job done! Great for simple jobs and daily spot cleaning. The cord is pretty long and the attachments are changed out easily and its incredibly lightweight. I would give it 5 stars but I can’t because it doesn’t pick up bigger pieces and the canister is on the smaller side but as a whole would definitely recommend. And if it helps to add- I have two pets and three messy kids.

It works way better than I expected. It’s not extremely quiet but it’s not crazy loud.. sounds like a regular vacuum cleaner, which I like. It’s very easy to put together, it has a lot of power/ suction, really gets the cat hair very well with each attachment. I do wish I was portable but I don’t think it would have the power, and that’s important so I wouldn’t change a thing about it.. it’s a perfect, versatile, lightweight, powerful little vacuum.

I’m very happy with this vacuum. I didn’t have a lot of money to spend, and my previous vacuums have all broken or blown up in the last month which sucked. I had purchased a dirt devil handheld and it burnt out after one heavy duty vacuuming session I didn’t anticipate. Three weeks of having it. My other one got a giant sock stuck in it and was not able to be reached to come out w out cutting the tubing. It is fall here in New York and it is rainy, muddy, and lots of shredded leaves everywhere. I have been out of my mind being unable to vacuum our apartment all this time. I finally ordered this vacuum yesterday, got it today, and I am already very happy. I used it immediately upon receipt and it was a dream. It rolled over hardwood floors very smoothly and picked up all sorts of crumbs in the kitchen. I used it in the bathroom to vacuum up stray hairs. I used it in my sons room to pick up spilled formula powder on the wood floor, and other dirt on his area rug. I used it in our master bedroom which is carpeted. I was able to clearly see dirt and particles being lifted off of a very low pile carpet. I used it in my living room and it picked up everything perfectly. I have lots of different flooring in my rental apartment. This thing was perfect. Even though it’s basically a handheld dust vac with a floor attachment, I never got the feeling that it was. The suction is very good, such that wherever I put that thing it sucked stuff up, even along the outer areas of the floor attachment. Ok rugs it works best going backward towards you, as it skips along the rug when pushed fwd but I jsut did it nice and slow and I am confident it was picking up dirt and hair. I even used it on a small shag rug. I did not detach the handheld for that option this time, but I fully intend to in the future. Although it was far more comfortable in its full upright mode. And it’s so lightweight and portable I don’t foresee using it as a handheld only very often. my pictures show what it looks like fully upright, up close, and the canister with contents after my very first use of it. I cannot even believe how much crap there was on my floors in just like a week of not vacuuming. I had been sweeping during that time and was grossed out seeing how much was actually on the floors despite that. I love having visuals like seeing the grossness in the canister lol. The bagless canister is convenient, I am used to vacuums like that and I know that they are very easy to clean and the filter is rinsable. I saw some reviews mention the length of the cord. I actually did not really have too much of a problem with that. I could have used it being 5 feet longer or more but Another 2 feet would not have mattered to me at all. Whether it’s 10 feetOr 12ft wouldn’t make or break a vacuum session for me. Our apartment isn’t small but it’s nothing close to a house. I do have a million outlets all over my apartment so it really wasn’t difficult. It swivels nicely and I can totally get it into weird angles and zoom around the floors nicely. I plan to use it on my entryway and the stairs up to my apartment tomorrow. Those are completely destroyed from leaves and all sorts of crap. So far I am very happy with this purchase! Excellent price excellent suction, excellent results.Update 2 weeks later: I use this vaccum about four times a week. I still use it on all sorts of surfaces like carpet, floor, stairs, entry way, play mat, couch, etc. I am still very happy w the suction and effectiveness of the vacuum. As I’ve used it more and more there are some annoyances that’s rent major but certainly worth mentioning: 1) the feature of just using it as a hand vac is impractical in my opinion. If I am vacuuming and decide I want to spot clean something w the hand vac option it is very cumbersome to achieve. Between the long handle piece and trying to yank out the floor attachment it ends up being far mor effort than is necessary when I jsut end up using the floor attachment on whatever. If I am going to use the hand vac alone it is from the beginning, not during a routine vacuuming. So I’d recommend doing it that way in general. 2) the swivel feature is fantastic but sometimes causes twisting and tangling of the cord around the lower part of the vacuum. Also if you want to lift the vacuum to move it while vacuuming it can often spin and you’re like twisting the whole thing around to get it back in line w itself. 3) the power switch being on the hand vac and fairly low down is a pain. I know there’s really no other way to do it but it is a little annoying. Otherwise though I am super happy w this purchase especially for the price. It is perfect for an apartment, or as a basement vacuum or for other smaller spaces that you don’t want to lug a giant heavy vacuum. I did clean the filter and canister once and it was very easy. The filter dried by the window in about two hours. I still love it and totally recommend it.UPDATE 2/12 months later**** still loving it. I use it about every other day. I’ve cleaned the filter many times no issues. Suction still seems good. It’s been picking up small Christmas tree pine needles perfectly. It does not like hair embedded into carpet, even low pile. I had a baby a few months ago and my hair is starting to shed horribly now. I get insane about stepping on hair so I vacuum a lot. But I thought it was picking up hair on the rug in our living room and just for sh*ts and giggles I took tape and used it on the rug to see, and basically every hair I’ve ever shed was still in the carpet. Hardwood floor? Yes no problem but carpets no. At least now I know lol. Otherwise it’s just a simple and generally effective little vacuum. Still recommend

I had my doubts about how much micro dust this would pick up. Well, I’m shocked to see how much dust and pet hair accumulate in just a few days and how much this vacuum captures.I removed a point because: 1. There’s no crevice tool holder, making it easy to misplace. 2. There should be a brush attachment to clean chairs, drapes, blinds, and more. 3. The cord could be a smidge longer. 4. Eureka does not even sell an attachment kit, nor have any knock-off kits been manufactured for it.Buy it USED from Amazon. I cannot believe that the newer color combo of turquoise and white is double the price of the other colors. The reasons I love this vacuum are: 1. It’s lightweight and does not aggravate my neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. 2. The swivel head. 3. It can get pretty far under some furniture pieces. 4. The crevice tool makes a targeted and powerful suction. 5. It’s easy to switch the parts and pieces around. 6. It doesn’t take up much space.
