I bought a Shark upright vacuum that had Pet in the name. Not sure what pets they tested it on but I’m guessing like turtles and snakes because my dogs hair instantly wrapped itself around the roller brush from end to end like it was designed to do that. Couldn’t even finish one use before I had to cut the hair off and literally comb it out of each and every brush tuft on the roller. Back it went!I searched smeo more and read the descriptions and reviews a little more carefully and decided on this Bissel. It was $100 more than the Shark but was designed specifically to not wrap hair around the roller so I bought it.Very nice vacuum. It’s very well built and everything has a nice quality feel to it. The canister pops off easily and empties easily without having to reach in and pull stuff out. The hose wand also pops on and off easily with the push of a button and the mechanism that holds the wand in place is sturdy which is important with these type of designs as the wand is also the handle so it takes a lot of abuse when using and lifting it and carrying it around. And speaking of carrying it. It’s a high quality vacuum but that quality makes it heavy. It can be pretty tiring on stairs. It has great maneuverability as it swivels and seems to have pretty good suction. Gets a lot of really fine dirt out of my carpets that my old vacuum seemed to be missing. And I’m happy to say. Not a bit of dog hair on the roller brush. It all ends up in the canister and it does a good job of getting it off the carpet. Although with long pet hair getting it up is not the issue. Getting it through the vacuum without catching and wrapping on anything and everything is the issue and this vacuum handles it very well.It has a nice head light that works pretty well. The turbo brush tool is the only one I’ve used so far that actually works and keeps the little brush spinning as you use it. Most stall out if you put even the lightest pressure on them. This one you can use with normal pressure and it just works. The other brush tool has some funky course bristles that make it more like a scrubber and less like a brush. The crevice tool has an LED light in the end that comes on when you attach it. Kind of cool but it has a battery in it that takes up about half the diameter of the tube so this cuts down on the flow. So they made the suction end smaller to match. It works but I’d rather had a normal crevice tool. Also the battery inside the tube means it only fits on it’s storage post in one direction so it’s fiddly to put away until you remember which direction it has to face. More gimmick than useful. The auto cord retract is nice. This is my vacuum for my man cave area but my wife always steals my vacuums since the rest of the house is central vac and she doesn’t always feel like hauling out the big hose and stuff. Fine with me but she NEVER winds the cord back up…or returns it for that mater. I usually find it somewhere in the house with the cord draped over it in tangles. At least with this one so far she pushes the button and lets the cord put itself away…but I still have to go and find it.If you can live with the weight and need a vacuum that can handle long pet hair this is a good choice. It works as advertised is very well built and hopefully that quality will give it a long life worth the price.

This vacuum is excellent. The amount of fur and dirt picked up by this vacuum was incredible. The suction is very strong and it is very easy to dispose of the dirt from the removable canister. The tools that come with the vacuum work great and fit securely on the side of the vacuum. We really like the lights on the vacuum and the crevice tool. The retractable cord is very helpful in quickly getting the job done. Assembly of the vacuum was easy and fast. We really like the quality of this vacuum. It’s lightweight but feels substantial. We feel really lucky to have discovered this vacuum during Prime Days and got it at a great price. I will recommend this vacuum to all of my pet parent friends.

For context, we have multiple pets in our household – 2 cats and a long-haired dog (Australian Shepherd). I also have long hair as well. In addition to the shedding, there is a lot of tracking dirt in and out of the house. We have a robot vacuum but it has its limits. We have been very pleased with this vacuum so far. It picks up pet hair out of our carpets and off hard floors much better than our old vacuum. Very satisfying to look inside the compartment and see all the stuff that got sucked up after a run-through. So far we’ve had no issues with tangling up the rollers, which has been a problem with our old push vacuum, the roomba, and our Dyson handheld.Cons:- cord is not retractable, so you have to wind up by hand. Not the end of the world, but retractable is so nice to have and it’s hard to go back once you’ve had that feature- slightly heavier than ideal- could be quieter (but not too bad!)Pros:- powerful suction with adjustable settings (seems to have a regular and turbo, plus a switch for different surfaces)- tangle resistant brush/roller- great for pets- lights up area in front of vacuum- easy to empty canister which has a carry handle when you detach from vacuumI haven’t used the attachments yet, but I have used just the hose detached from the body of the vacuum and that performs nicely on its own. Honestly looking forward to using this vacuum more!

The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser is a lifesaver for pet owners. Its powerful suction and specialized pet tools effectively remove pet hair from carpets, upholstery, and more. The vacuum’s tangle-free brush roll prevents hair from wrapping around the brush, making maintenance a breeze. One of the standout features of this vacuum is its ability to eliminate odors with its Febreze pet odor eliminator filter. This helps keep your home smelling fresh and clean, even with pets around. The vacuum is also easy to maneuver, with swivel steering and a lightweight design.Overall, the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser is a reliable and efficient vacuum for tackling pet hair and odors. Its powerful performance and pet-friendly features make it a great choice for pet owners looking to keep their homes clean and fresh.

We have siberian huskies and had purchased the Bissell pet one before and it worked amazing, but by our own faults we had somehow misplaced a few pieces of the vacuum anyhow we needed to find a replacement, after a thorough search we were lead to this vacuum, the details of this vacuum fit everything we were looking for, strong suctioning while using the hose, the handle attachment or even just the floor roller, for dog hair, lots of dog hair, lol, compact but not to compact that it couldn’t hold alot in the canister before having to be dumped, detachability so it can go to the car, a bedroom, etc, simple instruction of how to use it, whether with the roller on the bottom turned on or off, where to pull up from for the lift off accessibility, things like that and then we really loved that the vacuum has lights so we can see things being vacuumed before they get vacuumed, this vacuum is great having the cutting ability at the bottom so the dog hair doesn’t make the roller stop spinning was an amazing idea, the cutter IS NOT something you could cut your fingers on FYI, the only downfall I really saw to this vacuum is the space between the roller and its casing is very thin so lots of things that could be vacuumed up with a regular vacuum like pistachio shells for instance would stop the roller from rolling and there’s not enough space to slide your finger in to push it out, you literally have to take the bottom off to get anything that’s slightly bigger out, which I guess you could just use the hand tool for that stuff but I didn’t think to, the best part is that Bissell supports dogs so I will always purchase Bissell just for that fact alone but their vacuums are always a great price for the incredible capabilities these vacuums contain in its self alone, between the new capabilities, the power behind the vacuums and the nice sleek designs the Bissell brands are my absolute favorite when searing for a good vacuum

I got a german shepard, and my small vaccum just wasnt cutting it, had to empty alot and clean out the tubes multiple times. This vaccum has a light, you can see every hair on the hardwood floors. Its not to heavy, and a good long cord reach.Did just as good on carpet, as it did on the hardwood floors. It really fluffed up the carpet, made it look fresh and new.I was able to reach all the way a ross my living room and kit hen even i to a bed room. Only had to empty once. And no clogs in the tube! For the price, almost half of other recommended vaccums , good for pet hair! It a bargain!

I bought this specifically to handle pet hair as I have 2 large cats. Although there were plenty of great reviews, I had difficulty once mine was tested out. Im giving it 5 stars because it works on the pet hair on carpets, but for my uses I give it 3 stars. It is easy to put together and instructions were clear on use. It picked up hair on my carpets wonderfully, but when I switched to bare floors it didn’t do so well. I had to change tools frequently to get the job done and found they didn’t seem to work together. The suction tool for use on stairs needs to be used with the hose not the wand. The suction is so great it makes the hose retract making it shorter and more difficult to hold, but your arms get a good workout! Who wants to vacuum on their hands and knees? The vacuum head is too tall to fit under most of my furniture and trying to use the small head on the wand is impossible. I just gave my older vacuum away and plan to swap them since they have carpet through their entire house. It will be a win-win situation.

Pros: The price point seemed reasonable. It has great suction and picked up a ton of dirt, dust, and hair that our old Dyson Animal left behind. The first time I used it, I was astounded at how much it picked up. It’s also much lighter and easier to move around, but that also causes an issue. Cleaning the canister and filters is fairly easy and something I would recommend doing after each use to avoid odors down the road. That’s what happened with our Dyson.Cons: The hose is too short, and the vacuum doesn’t have enough weight to fully extend without pulling the entire unit over. You have to remove the canister and carry it around, which isn’t convenient when cleaning things like ceiling fans. The brush attachment is too long, skinny, and useless for anything aside from corners. This makes cleaning something like a ceiling fan impossible. The brush has a light, but rather than be powered by suction or electricity, it uses a battery.

Excellent little vacuum. What I like: It it easy to use, easy to disassemble, easy to clean. It rolls nicely without scratching the floor, it pivots, the hose detaches easily, you can disengage the wheel base and just carry the canister and hose to vac stairs. It has a light on the beater bar and a light on the wand attachment, it’s got a mini beater bar for furniture and it is light enough to carry upstairs. What I wish were better: I wish it had a longer powr cable. I know I can use an extension cord, but an extra 6 feet on the cord would be nice. I wish that the beater bar was a little bit bigger. It is acceptable as is, but would be better if it were a bit bigger. I wish it came with a bigger brush attachment that had more bristles. Puny is the word I would use for the brush it came with. That’s it. Other than a few tweeks, this is doing the job for my multi-dog, mega-multi-cat house.

I got this to replace my old Hoover Platinum. One of the wheels broke and you can no longer replace them as they are discontinued. I thought I loved it until I got this one. Much more powerful. Easily sucks up hay, kitty litter, cat food and everything else in its path. Very adjustable between wood, tile, and carpet performs well on each surface. Switching between roller on and off and flat low to plush are easily accessible. I love that this gets right up against the edges of everything. Under my cabinets, under my appliances, against rug edges and wall edges and baseboards. The light on the front and sides are surprisingly helpful. It is very easy to empty after use. The one thing I do not always like is it can get kind of squirrely when you need it to go straight. I have a large house and it can strain your wrist trying to keep it straight and it is frustrating when you try to follow a straight line against something like your baseboards. It would be nice if there was a locking mechanism that you could use at times when needed.
